Ping Pong to Standing Desks | Bringing Culture into the Workplace

With every Tuesday comes our team meetings and with every meeting someone enlightens the rest of us on a new health tip.  We’ve had numerous tips about exercising -even while at work- and eating breakfast (which, I’ve learned, you should be doing everyday no matter what). We even had some tips focused around being in high-altitude as our founder, Mitch, was training for his 80-mile Copper Triangle bike race.

Another tip, that has turned into to a Cloudbakers’ cultural aspect, promotes standing desks. They keep our blood flowing, our core and back muscles engaged, and help us burn calories. According to Men’s Health, “people who sit for most of the day are 54% more likely to die of heart attacks.” We have a fairly young team, and we’re all interested in good health.

Just about everyone in our office now has a new and improved workspace designed to keep them in better shape and be more productive. As if a casual ping pong game wasn’t enough of a workout!


These standing desks have even become quite the fashion statement.
